House Of Headys recommends ordering the quantity of dry ice requires for your immediate or short-term use. As a guide, Dry Ice typically sublimates at a rate of 5% to 15% product weight per day depending on the thermal properties of the storage container and the external temperature profile. Product shelf life is variable and significantly affected by other factors such as the quantity of residue product in the insulated storage container and number of times the container lid is opened.

Your order will be packed into insulated packaging with a protective cardboard outer.

Webshop orders placed before 12 am (Mon to Thursday) will be delivered on the next working day, (excluding Public Holidays).

Dry ice has a short shelf life. The more ice you order the longer it lasts. Typically it can lose around 2kg per day. The 2.5kg will usually last for 24hrs if unused and left un-opened. It depends! 10kg can be consumed within minutes if added to sufficient hot water to create large scale effects. However, for smaller more subtle effects the dry ice can last for hours. We ship dry ice in thick polystyrene boxes and the ice will last for 3-4 days depending on how you store the ice. We recommend keeping the ice unopened in the packaging until it is required and to store the box in a safe cold place. Once ice has been used put the lid on the remaining product and place in a cold location.

– You have had the items for 14 working days or less

We are unable to accept sale items.

Let us know asap! We can’t do anything if you’ve not opened it until weeks later (!!) to then say its faulty. Call us first to discuss
